Applications for CodeReach will close on November 25th, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

CodeReach helps young students learn the fundmentals of Python through creating games and building problem-solving skills.

Our Goal

In a technology-driven world, we strive to prepare young minds in our community for what the future holds. Programming is a sought-after skill that is, unfortunately, not taught in elementary school. We hope that through this 5-month program, our students will become proficient enough with technology to create anything they can imagine.

What We Teach

This year, CodeReach aims to spark an interest in developing exciting projects using Python. Throughout the program, our instructors will guide students through the process of building games while enhancing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of CodeReach, our students should be equipped with the experience and tools they need to create their own projects and solve challenges independently!

Who Teaches

At CodeReach, our instructors are highly qualified Massey students. All CodeReach instructors finished their Computer Science course with over 98% and have over 4 years of programming experience. We hope that classrooms can become more engaging and less intimidating through a peer-to-peer setting!

How much does CodeReach cost?

CodeReach is completely free. We believe in open access to education, so we will never charge for CodeReach.

How do I enroll in CodeReach?

Due to a limited number of seats, we offer CodeReach through an application process. To apply, click the "Apply Now!" button at the top of the page.

How will I know if I get accepted?

After applications close on November 25th, decisions will be released on Novemeber 29th by email. Classes will begin on December 2nd.

What should I bring to class?

We provide school computers, so you do not have to bring your own. With that being said, we highly recommend you bring your own laptop so you can continue to work on what you learned in class at home. If you have any medical issues, allergies, or require other accommodations, please let us know! We also suggest you bring a bottle of water.
