CodeReach helps young students learn the basics of web development through creating web applications.
In a technology-driven world, we strive to prepare young minds in our community for what the future holds. Programming is a sought-after skill that is, unfortunately, not taught in elementary school. We hope that through this 5-month program, our students will become proficient enough with technology to create anything they can imagine.
This year, CodeReach aims to spark an interest in developing exciting projects with modern technology. Throughout the program, our instructors will guide the students through the process of creating various web applications. By the end of CodeReach, our students should be equipped with all the experience and tools they need to develop projects on their own!
At CodeReach, our instructors are highly qualified Massey students. All CodeReach instructors finished their Computer Science course with over 98% and have over 4 years of programming experience. We hope that classrooms can become more engaging and less intimidating through a peer-to-peer setting!
CodeReach is completely free. We believe in open access to education, so we will never charge for CodeReach.
Due to a limited number of seats, we offer CodeReach through an application process. To apply, click the "Apply Now!" button at the top of the page.
After applications close on December 3rd, decisions will be released on December 5th by email. Classes will begin on December 7th.
We provide school computers, so you do not have to bring your own. With that being said, we highly recommend you bring your own laptop so you can continue to work on what you learned in class at home. If you have any medical issues, allergies, or require other accommodations, please let us know! We also suggest you bring a bottle of water.
